Connecting West Michigan to Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes
Your visit to our site reveals a shared interest in one of Michigan's great natural treasures, the Grand River. The beauty of the Grand's idyllic setting, and the opportunity it can offer as a recreational destination point is the inspiration for this site.

We believe a river system is to be viewed as a whole. We envision the course of the Grand River from the Fulton Street Bridge in Grand Rapids to the Bass River Tributary in Ottawa County as having continuity with the rest of the waterway corridor that flows all the way to Lake Michigan. Our vision for this 22.5 mile stretch of the river is to see beyond its limited navigability to the real possibilities it can offer to enhance the quality of our lives.
To restore the integrity of the Grand River from the Fulton Street Bridge to the Bass River Tributary thereby providing safe shallow-draft navigation for recreational boating and fishing .
